TGPRINT

Technical requirements and user qualification

What equipment, browser and connection are required for the storefront and for the admin panel, what files the platform accepts and what each type of user needs to know.

Updated:

The product is operated entirely in a browser: neither the customer nor the print shop's team installs any programs. The requirements below are the minimum ones for comfortable operation; more powerful equipment only improves the speed of work, not the functions available.

2.1. The workstation for the admin panel

Requirement Recommended value
Computer a laptop or desktop with a processor from recent years and at least 4 GB of RAM; disk space only for the operating system and for temporarily downloaded files (artwork, documents)
Operating system any system that runs a current browser: Windows 10 or newer, macOS 12 or newer, current Linux distributions, ChromeOS
Screen at least 1366 × 768 px; 1440 px in width or more is recommended for the large tables (the order list, the calculator of a product)
Browser the current or the previous version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari or Opera; Internet Explorer is not supported
Browser settings JavaScript and cookies enabled — the panel is a web application and the authentication session is kept in a cookie
Internet connection stable; at least 10 Mbps is recommended for downloading artwork and uploading catalogue images
Peripherals a printer (optional) for the job tickets, the invoices and the shipping labels generated as PDF

The admin panel is designed for laptop and desktop screens. It can be consulted on a phone (orders, notifications), but day-to-day operation is recommended from a computer.

2.2. The customer's device (the storefront)

Requirement Value
Device computer, tablet or phone; the website adapts automatically to screen widths from 360 px upwards
Mobile operating system iOS or Android in a version new enough to run a current browser
Browser the current version of the browsers above, including their mobile variants; JavaScript and cookies enabled (the cart, the customer session and the cookie consent depend on them)
Connection any internet connection; uploading large artwork takes time in proportion to the upload speed of the connection

2.3. Accepted files

File type Formats Notes
Artwork (customer, in the cart or in the account) PDF for print files; raster images (JPG, PNG, TIFF) where the product accepts them the accepted formats and the rules of the automatic check are set for each product, through its check preset (see F5); large files are accepted, the upload time depends on the connection
Additional files (customer) any format requested by the product through the upload module fonts, reference photographs, specifications — they do not replace the artwork
Catalogue and content images (panel) JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG the image library allows cropping, rotating, mirroring, compressing and resizing on upload; SVG files are uploaded unchanged
Logo and favicon (panel) logo in PNG, JPG or SVG up to 400 KB; favicon in ICO (16 × 16 or 32 × 32 px) logo variants for light and dark backgrounds
Downloadable documents (panel) any format (PDF, XLSX, DOCX, ZIP …) published at addresses of the form /files/<nume> on the website
Imports and exports CSV, XLSX, TXT promo codes (import and export), reference books (import and export), lists of orders and customers (CSV export, opened directly in Excel, with diacritics)
Generated documents PDF the job ticket, the invoice, the delivery note, the completion certificate, the shipping label

2.4. Requirements for putting the product into operation

  • Domain: a domain of the print shop's own or a subdomain of its existing domain (for example comanda.tipografia-ta.md); the HTTPS certificate is provided by the platform.
  • Sender e-mail address: the address from which customers receive order confirmations and status notifications; for reliable e-mail delivery, validating the domain with the e-mail service connected through an integration is recommended.
  • Accounts with external providers, only for the desired functions: the merchant account with the card payment processor, the account with the courier for generating AWBs, the analytics and messaging accounts (F26).
  • Company data: the name, the fiscal code, the address and the bank accounts of the companies that issue invoices and certificates (F15).

2.5. Level of user qualification

User Required knowledge
Customer (the storefront) browsing the internet and filling in online forms; no account is needed — the order can be placed as a guest
Manager, operator, accountant (the panel) working with web applications in a browser; knowledge of their own print shop's workflow (statuses, deadlines, documents), to the extent described in the User guide
Administrator (configuration) in addition: printing terminology (formats, materials and weights, printing and finishing operations, sheet layout) and the commercial policy of the print shop (prices, coefficients, discounts, VAT); for integrations — access to the print shop's accounts with the external providers. No programming knowledge is required: the catalogue, the prices, the design and the content are configured from the panel

Training is based on the User guide, organised according to the panel's menu; at launch, the catalogue and the prices are configured together with the developer.
